As Summer 2017 is nearing an end, here is a preview of NYC theater and theatrical events coming in fall/winter 2017-2918.

Oct. 26-Nov. 5, 2017: Matthew Bourne’s/New Adventures The Red Shoes

Based on the film by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, as well as Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tale, with music by Bernard Herrmann. Matthew Bourne won the Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Director and Best Choreographer for the 1998 production of “Swan Lake.” He also directed and choreographed the 2006 production of “Mary Poppins” for which he received nominations for Best Choreographer from the Tony and Drama Desk.

Nov. 15-19, 2017: Brigadoon New York City Center Gala Performance 

Book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon and starring Tony Award Winner Kelly O’Hara and Tony Award nominees Patrick Wilson and Robert Fairchild.
