Theatre, History and the Lighthouses of Long Island ~ Virtual Adult Education with Fire Island School

Lighthouses have been beacons of light, strength and hope for humanity throughout the centuries. Joseph Smith, Performing Artist of Living History, portrays Augustin Fresnel, inventor of the Fresnel lens that transformed “lighthouse technology forever, illuminating the seas, saving lives and creating new light in new venues yet to come.” Join Joseph as he moves in and out of character with Augustin and shares his journey and experiences performing at three of Long Island’s historic lighthouses: Fire Island, Horton Point and Montauk, along with historical insights of each lighthouse.

Classes every Wednesday for three weeks, beginning January 13, 2021 from  6 – 7 p.m. for $10

Must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
